Putnam Street Revitalization
This project in part was taken over by the City of New Haven to ensure its completion in light of the economic difficulties of the Hill Development Corporation. The remaining six (6) 2-family properties totaling 12 units of housing which are 160 Rosette St., 152 Lamberton St., 138 Putnam St., 181 Putnam St., 197 Putnam St and 570 Howard Ave are in the Hill Impact Zone. The project has been expanded to include all the parcels owned by the City. The following:

160 Salem Street (corner of Salem and Carlisle) is a Recreation Facility owned by the City of New Haven Parks and Recreation which as been closed for at least five (5) years. This building was donated to the City of New Haven and as such carries a restriction that the building remain a recreation facility. The City of New Havens intent is to incorporate this facility into the plan as a final phase of this overall project. The facility use is undetermined as this time and how it will fit into the project. Funding is expected through the NSP III program and leverage of public funding.
